Running in the Rain!

First off last night Beks and I were sleepy so we only did 2 and a half miles last night, it was good and I slept really well afterwards! (I tried running with a fanny pack last night, it was great for carrying my keys and such, but I couldn't handle how it bounced and kept moving out of place)

Today I went with my family to Brentwood to see the rest of my family. We always have a big Easter and this was no exception. This is my cousin Mandy and her daughter, the littlest one of the bunch, and we all join in to hide her eggs. (She got money and almond joys!)

Even though it was sprinkling a little we went nearby to take a walk. I was hoping I could sneak in a run so I brought everything I'd need and changed right before we left.

It was beautiful! Especially with the sun peaking through the clouds.

Only problem with the clouds, is rain... Around a mile and a half for the family, (I ran ahead and then came back) it started POURING rain. The soaked in seconds kind of rain, and it was so much fun! Jogging between the trees but even under the trees we couldn't get shelter,then giving up because once your soaked there's not much that you can do. It's my favorite moment from today, hands down.

A beautiful Saturday!

It was super busy today at the store today, just be Easter time!! We saw over 200 people and normally 100 is a lot! So this was even more hectic. I decided I wasn't going to make dinner. I got out my trusty Thai Food menu and ordered some Red Curry.

Instead of eating what they gave I brought it home, oven cooked some chicken, shredded it and, mixed if with the curry and put it with rice. It has to be one of my favorite meals (I know I say that a lot, but really!!).



And as for my run last night, it was a good one. As soon as I got back home I wanted to go running again.

And check out my sky today It was so beautiful with the rain clouds coming in. And I love water towers, they make me think of home! Ever gone running in the rain?

I found some money in the dryer

Even if it is my own, I love finding money in the washing mashing or the dryer when I swear I checked all the pockets!

Have you ever ordered something and thought it was clear and ended up laughing when you received it? Yes, No? Well that's what happened to me.. I ordered some scrambled eggs with cheese and diced ham. The cheese never showed up, but here's my plate :/ ill be more specific next time (but yes, it was delicious!)

Tonight is one of those nights where I worked all day and I'm already sore before I start my run. Beks will be here in about 10 minutes though, so this butt needs to get into gear! I'll let you know how it goes!

Unusual Eating Habits?

My usual breakfast items would include yogurt, a banana, scrambled eggs, or cereal... But Look what I found! These donuts were on sale at Nugget Market and fell in love! It's not too often I get to have delicious gluten free donuts so having maple glazed ones was a breakfast must today! (Yes I'll be running tonight!)

(I'm also love reusing my pasta sauce jars! I fill them up with instant breakfast and a shot of espresso the night before and stick it in the fridge for a nice cold latte in the morning!)

I saw this Nike shirt "I do it in the rain" and every thing in me wants it! I may not run in it, but it'd be the perfect shirt to wear on a day off!

When I told you I was addicted to the local taco truck, I wasn't kidding. I haven't had it seven days consecutively... but I may have had it 7 our of the past 10 days (Is that really so bad?! It's good for me, and I switch it up between chicken and carnitas)

That Girl Who Runs At Night

I've never really been an early morning runner, I just can't seem to get up before I HAVE to... Last summer when I decided to start running, it was difficult to get into, but then Katelyn and I went running at night its been a habit ever since.

Finally!!! It's not ice cold after work and we can go again! And Beks decided to join today! Yay for starting her running addiction.

 (I'm normally not this mismatched but Beks started out in all black, so I though I should put on bright running shorts on so that we'd be seen... plus they're super cool!)

Fun fact, Beks and my pace are super close, as well as our stride, It's wonderful!!! =)

I'ts probably abnormal that I run with my hair down, but I like it because it creates a breeze, or when it's wet from the sprinklers it cools me off extra! 

This is after our run. My friend Joe saw us coming up my driveway and decided to pull up and say hi... (We only thought we were being kidnapped for about 3 second before we recognized the car)

Run or Dye! My Very First 5k

The Run or Dye was my first 5k and it was so much fun! I was a little disappointed because I used my Nike running app and it only tracked 2.38 miles... which seems a little short of a 5k (3.11miles)... but it was a lot of fun and we made new friends and got new ideas =) Here's some of my favorite pictures!

And after!! You can't see it, but my tongue was clearly bright blue! Glad it was just corn starch!

Emilee, Matt, Jimmy, and Myself. We met them at the starting line, and made sure we were ahead of the them whole time. Our personal best!

Of course our towns street fair was the same day.. we got some looks, people to photos with us, we were local celebrities for a day. My nephew wasn't a fan though, he wouldn't come near me! (Smart choice kiddo!)

It was a good time. I admire those who wore bandannas through the dye zones. Or the guy in the banana suit who kept cheering us on, very encouraging and funny! 

Mud Run, Tough Mudder, 10k next?! Hopefully Hawaii is a running state!

I wouldn't call it a "problem" because who can have too many dresses really?!
I'm getting really excited for Hawaii (ps I'm moving to Hawaii in two months!), and so I may have been adding a few more and more to my collection that has overflown from one drawer to that drawer and part of my closet!

Anddd we did go to Chipotle again, because we were already half way there and just couldn't say no! I mean who could!? I got the same thing so I wont bore you with another photo, but on the way we decided to take awesome showing off my new bright blue sports bra, that happens to perfectly match my blue shoes. here's what she got (I really do have the best friends)

(personally I'm a sidewalk runner, but I'm enjoying the country roads more and more. Haven't found any amazing trails here yet though)

Chipotle and the Elliptical

I'm pretty sure if I had to live off of one food for the rest of my life it would be Chipotle (or the taco truck that I visit too often!). Beks and I went there today, and while normally I could down the whole thing, I held back and saved some for later. Check out her colorful bowl!

My first day on the elliptical. I love how low impact it is! I will definitely be using this on days I need a break but could still use some good cardio! 

Anddd look! Who got a new sports bra to match their awesome running jacket!! (It's reversible so like my friend suggested, I can just turn it inside out when one side gets sweaty... not sure how that will work out)

Has anyone tried the veggie bowls/ salads at Chipotle!? I'm dying for reviews, I just can't help but get the barbacoa or the steak every. single. time!

That Awkward First Post

Now this may be awkward, but you know when an idea hits you like a ton a bricks and at first you're like "could it be" and then "this is it!"... and it just keeps going! After all that, here I am.
